Kanhaji gives challenges
Life without challenges is too easy. We get too comfortable and we get bored. Kanhaji gives us challenges so that we can take ourselves to new heights. He helps us to conquer new evils and to change ourselves for the better. He keeps us safe and He helps us through the good and the bad. Challenges may sometimes hurt us, we may feel sad or upset that we did not win or we did not respond the way we would have liked. However, there are lessons to be learned from every challenge that is won and even more lessons from every challenge that is not won. I don't say lost because we don't really lose. We learn something and that means that we have gained something as well. Kanhaji challenges us and He helps us to recover from feeling sad if we are not successful in conquering our fears, our work, our challenges. He sends comfort for us in the form of relatives, friends, acquaintances, strangers and most importantly - in the form of Himself. Kanhaji loves us and will always help us and we should remember that He will never send us more than we can bear. He will always keep us safe and love us forever.

Kanha makes me stronger
Strength does not come easily to many of us. Strength takes years of practice and hard work. Kanha gives us strength. He takes care of us and He loves us, always. He gives us strength when we need it and even when we don't realise that we need it. He helps us to deal with every situation in an easy way. He keeps us safe and takes care of us always.

Kanhaji heals
Healing occurs in many different ways. Many of us wish for miracles where healing is concerned. We want cures for diseases that hurt us, we want relief from pain and sickness. We want Kanhaji to help us right now. And He heals us. He heals our bodies, but more importantly, He heals our minds. Kanhaji heals our spirits and strengthens us to face the pains and sicknesses and diseases in the world. He gives us the strength we need to face formidable enemies and impossible situations. Kanhaji heals us and helps us to heal others. He does this so easily that we often do not even realise it until we think about it a long time later.

Kanhaji gives happiness
Happiness is a state of mind. That's what everyone says. It depends on how you choose to feel at a particular point in time. I think this is true and I also think that happiness can be achieved when we focus on Kanha. Thinking about Him makes me feel better when I am sad, worried, distressed, upset or hurt. Thinking about Him makes me feel even happier when I am already happy.
When I read the Srimad Bhagvatam and tales derived from it I feel jealous sometimes when I think of how lucky the gopis and the other people of Vrindavan were. Kanhaji actually interacted with them and I love reading the stories about His time in Vrindavan in particular because that is when He was the most carefree and even though He conquered many evils while there, He also played and laughed and enjoyed life.
I have included pictures that I think portray happiness when interacting with Kanhaji.

Kanhaji's help
Kanhaji helps us and He offers His help with such grace that sometimes we don't even realise that He is helping us. We don't see that He is the one who shows us what direction to turn in, who to speak to, where to search for the information that we need. We think that our own intelligence helped us. But, even that is such a vain way to think. Because, after all, who gave us such intelligence? Kanhaji gave it to us. He gave us the brains to do what we do. He gave us each our particular talents. He gave us our personalities and He knows who our relatives are, our friends, our future friends and future family too. He knows who we will meet, what we will accomplish and when we will accomplish. He knows our secret desires and fears and He helps us to reach our goals. Kanhaji loves us so much and helps us so much and we don't even know it.

Kanhaji helps us to see Him
We all have different ways of seeing God. Kanhaji is with us all the time but it doesn't mean that we see Him with our physical eyes. So too, when I speak about seeing Kanhaji I mean that we have different ways of identifying with Him. Kanhaji came here on earth, as a baby. He had a mother who bore Him for 9 months in her own body - Devkiji. He had a father who took Him to Vrindavan to protect the infant Kanhaji. There, Kanhaji got two more parents - this shows us that even from birth and a small tiny baby, Kanhaji wanted to teach us a lesson - He wanted to show us that adoption is a good deed. Adoption indicates acceptance and that the adopted children love their natural birth parents as well as their adopted parents. In fact, they may love their adopted parents more. Every time I think about Devkiji and Yashodaji I wonder about which one of them I would have liked to be in that story. Well, it was not difficult, of course I would want to be Yashodaji. She had Kanhaji's childhood - she brought Him up, she fed Him, took care of Him, sang lullabies, tucked Him in at night, kissed away His sorrows and fears - she had His love. He loved her and she loved Her son so dearly. Some of us identify with Kanhaji as a baby and a child because we like to think that we can be a mother to Him.
Others can identify more easily with Him as the mischievous cowherd who used to tease the poor gopis who were all in love with Him. In this case, Radha was the most favoured and if I were to propose who I would be in this case, it would be Radha. That's because she gets Kanhaji's favouritism. He clearly loves her the best out of all the gopis. He loves them also but it is Radha who He spends the most time with. It is her name that is joined with His forever. Some of us identify with Him in this form as a lover. But Kanhaji came to earth to help us to understand Him better and to see that His lessons can reach us, however we consider Him.
Jai Shri Krishna.

Kanhaji honoured His friends
Kanhaji always honoured His friends and He taught us by example that we should do the same. We should honour the people we love and care about. We should show them that we care about them. Kanhaji involved His friends in His activities - He ate butter with them, He tended to the cows with them, He played with them. We too should honour our friends and should remember that we can call on them when we are sad or happy or upset or angry. We can feel safe with them to be who we truly are.
Jai Shri Krishna!
